Kristina Emmott – Vancouver Portrait Photographer

We started this day playing day 1 of a 2 day NSA SloPitch tournament. The weather looked miserable, and it wouldn’t be Vancouver if it didn’t rain most of the day (which it did), and the photoshoot didn’t look promising.

We threw around a bunch of ideas as to where we were going to go to do this photoshoot in the rain. There was no possibility of rescheduling, and we are glad we didn’t. Even though it was raining and the alleyways of Gastown smelled a little funny, we braved Mother Nature and it payed off. We lucked out greatly as the rain settled just for the the hour or so that we did end up shooting and the clouds made for the biggest soft box ever!

A big Thank You goes out to our amazing assistant Andrey Vladimirov who helped us through out the photoshoot with various tasks, one of the biggest being umbrella holding, we couldn’t have done it without you!!

Kristina was a good sport and she looked stunning in her very cute white dress and a sexy red skirt. She’s a rising start and we can’t wait to watch her sing live and perform some of her Russian Bar music!

Lady in Red – Vancouver Portrait Photographer

First off I want to thank Nick and Deb Beaulieu from The Other Angle Photographer for putting together this shoot at the Ironworks Studio. We had such an amazing time meeting up with some other Vancouver wedding and portrait photographers including Jason Brown, Laura Hana, Jana Frandsen and having an overall blast! Irina Balykina was one of our beautiful models, and her awesome make up was done by Britt Clancy of Glamourpuss Mobile Makeup. The Ironworks Studio really makes for some gorgeous shots with lots of character. We were able to make use of lots of natural lighting coupled with some great artificial lighting (again thanks to Nick and Jason for brining all their gear!) to get some great shots!. Here are some from the shoot! Enjoy!

Huge thanks to Jason Brown for setting up the lighting for this shot below! It simply is such an amazing light set up consisting of no less than 5 strobes including one monster ring flash!

Pardeep’s Photoshoot – Vancouver Lifestyle Portrait Photographer

We had the great opportunity to work with Neeti Guram and Simrin who had organized a surprise fashion shoot for Pardeep’s birthday. Neeti specializes in bridal makeup and Simrin specializes in amazing hair styles. The girls had an amazing time and we all had so much fun shooting down at the Chateau Granville hotel! Having just got some new goodies from Honl, ie speedgrid and gels, we had a great time also playing around with some off-camera lighting! Here are some pics and slideshow from the evening. Enjoy!

Isabelle – Vancouver Lifestyle Portrait Photographer

We had a great opportunity to do a shoot with Isabelle a few days ago. Location was up at Queen Elizabeth Park, and we were very fortunate with the weather as it turned out perfect! being Vancouver, it was always forecasted to rain, but the weather gods held off for us! Here are some shots from the day.
